I hate the wisdom of these men unmoved by truths, who do not suffer with their nerves, their flesh, and their blood. I like only vital, organic truths, the offspring of our anxiety. Those whose thoughts are alive are always right; there are no arguments against them. And even if there were, they would not last long. I wonder how there can still be men searching for the truth. Do wise men not yet understand that truth cannot be?"

- Intent can get you everywhere. If it's good, it will keep you where you're going and where you are. If not, you might as well scrap the plan and just prepare for the fall.
- NYC subways are poorly designed when compared with, say, the Paris, Berlin, London, or Madrid metro. Or maybe it's just the people using them who refuse to move into the f*&%ing middle?! Not that there's anything wrong with Americans (teehee) but they seem a lot more willing to cooperate and have (are raised in an environment of) a basic level of courtesy on the other side of the pond...
- I am always ready to drop what I'm doing and fly to a new adventure. (India, Brazil, Bali, Cali, ?, ?) Soon, the two sides are going to close in. I'm waiting for the 'call'. And some paychecks. But it's comforting to know I'm already ready.
- Who is that little boy? That little girl? They are in there, you know? Look at some baby pictures. Pull your dusty memory box out and let your mind body hart observe and accept. Light and fancy free, born with all we needed and all we needed was time to try and take it, reminding us of the fight to stay young.
- Looking at the store fronts passing me by on the drive I notice, they cater to each and every which whim of our physical realm. Mais, where can I score some soul food out there? I always did tend to pack a sack lunch (thanks, mom). I was always shy and paranoid of that sack lunch, a big ol' dork. Now it's everything. And people can't get a decent meal worth a dime. And no one taught them how to 'cook'!
- The past is full and present with you wherever you go. The future is vacant, a new apartment or house or hotel room waiting for your present self to come sweeping through. Who and what you bring with you makes the party. I always did love house parties.
- Air, Fire, Water, Earth. And never in any other order than that.
- An Emotional Intelligance Academy is begging to be born. Who wants to father my baby? The first-ever double-CEO-headed enterprise.
- People waste time and words. Just because something seems to be limitless doesn't mean a disrespecting free-for-all is in order. Hang up the damn phone. Cut the drama and bullisht. Do the right thing. You know what I'm talking about. Stop frontin'.
- Don't know what you want to do with your life? Open up your heart; there's a place to start. Don't know what that means? Find out; there's an even better place to go.
- I like to wear snazzy wide-leg, nice fabric'd tailored pants down below with playful, sexy, cool graphic tees (and blouses of the sort) up top. Like a mullet, if you will- only front/back are now down/up. All Business downtown, Fun and fancy free uptop. Business casual just hit a new height.

This is what love is for
To put us at a place
Gorgeous and alone
And face to face
5
With no larger problems
That need to be erased
And nothing more important
Than to know someone's listening
Oh I know you're still listening
"The quality time you spend in the company of your loved ones is the fuel that keeps the bonds between you aflame. Absence makes the heart wonder, leaving those family members and friends you seldom see questioning the strength of your affection or the nature of your relationship. Your willingness to devote a portion of your schedule to be engaged with loved ones speaks to these doubts, answering them before they can interfere with the closeness you share with the people you care for. When you make being with your friends and family a priority, you ensure that you never give in to the temptation to forgo quality time in order to engage in self-centered pursuits. Your relationships will become stronger than ever today as you reconnect with the people whose love sustains you."
"The comfort of solitude affords us an opportunity to commune with our inner selves away from the distracting cacophony of the modern world. Since we play so many roles in our lives and undertake numerous taxing obligations, we may frequently lose touch with who we are as individuals. Alone, separated from outside influences by a barrier of peace and quiet, we can hear the quiet and small inner voice that is not simply the intuitive mind but also a loving guide. Reconnecting with this part of ourselves reminds us that there is more to life than labor and responsibility. In solitude, you’ll reconnect with yourself today and remember that seeking personal fulfillment is necessary to attaining happiness."

Everything comes full circle when you go around a third time, I think. So anyway.....There's been a break in the matrix and our PARTICIPATION is a perfect way to show thanks and gratitude to the catalyst while keeping up the inclusive and positive vibes. We are all interconnected, and as cliche as that sounds, we would realize it more if we took the time to open our eyes and proactively participate with each other. As is beginning to happen more and more here, now, online, in our generation. Eliminating that self-consciousness and becoming conscious of ourselves in a progressive and engaging way....now that's SOMETHING. We're on to something people!!! Power in numbers. Truth in ONE.
P.S. Links are the isht. Merci.

Love is-
"Launch your weekend with drinks and dancing at the most explosive party this side of the Milky Way. See and be seen under the stars as live bands, DJs and VJs present the hottest music and project dynamic visuals at the Rose Center for Earth and Space. Cocktails keep the party going."
I love the Natural History Museum. I love planetariums. And I love live music.
Thank you!
My DailyOm today made me think about a video I watched on TED a few months ago...
In terms of my personal development thus far I see a gap when it comes to conscious selflessness.
{music break}
Conscious constructive behavior; see: YESing instead of NOing. Ex: the War and Peace paradigm...there is no peace because there is no consistent outright talk of Peace (it's not economically viable afterall but that's neither here nor there. Is it, ?). Could this be a simple matter of semantics? 'NO WAR' v.s. 'WE WANT PEACE' still diffuses messages of WAR grace à the images carried by the language. Affirmation as opposed to negation, especially in terms of human reltaions seems to me to be THE solution, more effective and beneficial on the scales than restrictive selflessness (which would reveal my personal philosophy of the ability to have our cake and eat it too - achieving ONE. Don't ask me how to go about this, but I know it must be possible). I guess compromise would be the word for the mapping and trapping.
This leads my train of thought to Emotional Intelligence...TBCont...
Which also leads me to love and hate, which essentially both lead to the same place (maddness ?!).
Lots of leads this morn. I digress...
And now for the multi-media...a video worth your time

Now this I REALLY miss.

It's funny the things you miss when you've grown accustomed to new habits, products, cultures and then revert to old ones which are, essentially, non-transferable.
But I'm an adaptable one, so I've (somewhat) happily rediscovered:

I say '(somewhat)' because when comparing taste, ingredients and, what's most important, the way my body feels when I've ingested something, I miss the light, well-balanced delicacy that the mix of unique LU-only ingredients brought to my fast breaking. Fact is: soil, water, grains, eggs- everything- is different in Europe. Somehow my body intuitively knows what the deal is.
On another tip...whose job is it to photograph these products? Is it an internally controlled affair? Do the people at LU (Danone) and General Mills have stock photos of their stars that they then distribute to vendors? Seems like that's probably the way it would go.

Saw them at Mercury Lounge last night. New musical discoveries never cease to excite and inspire.
